In the greater metropolitan area, more than 300 high school and college students participate in Expo-sciences Hydro-Québec. They dare science! Through the scientific approach, exhibitors live a human experience that is unlike anything else in science. Find out about the competition and how to register.

What is it about?
Competition procedure
The competition of Expo-sciences Hydro-Québec is divided into 4 stages. To participate in the regional finals that we organize, the young person must be selected by their establishment. These are called local finals.
In fact, it is possible to register a maximum of eight (8) projects per secondary school and four (4) projects per CEGEP for each regional final.
The regional finals of Expo-sciences Hydro-Québec take place over 3 days:
DAY 1
Open to the public and activities/conferences.
DAY 2
In the morning open to the public, the afternoon is devoted to judging behind closed doors.
DAY 3
Open to the public, activities/conferences and awards ceremony.
IMPORTANT: all projects must go through “Ethics and Regulations” platform to ensure the need (or not) to request an ethics or regulations form
And this BEFORE starting the project.

SOS Mentor
The system was designed to enable young participants to Expo-sciences Hydro-Québec to connect with professionals in the scientific community. By registering, mentors and mentees can be connected through their common interests, being directed to a suitable support network.
