Become an event volunteer…Why and how?

Do you want to contribute to the training of the next generation of Quebec scientists? Become an event volunteer during the scientific competitions and events that we organize.

The role of the event volunteer

During competitions, your mission as an event volunteer is crucial. 

You will be required to occupy one or more of the following roles:

• Reception: check that each person is registered, otherwise direct them to the registration table. Scan the appropriate QR codes. If applicable, give them their t-shirts, badges, bags. 
• The locker room: each new item (coat, shoes, bag, etc.) must be assigned a number and placed in order so that they can be easily found.
• Traffic and traffic: ensure that traffic flows smoothly, invite visitors to participate in the various activities. (We will give you more information on the activities on site)
• The usher: ensure that everyone has a seat, that the aisles are not obstructed, that everyone listens to the safety instructions. Help in the event of an evacuation.
• Presence in the dining room: ensuring the cleanliness of the dining room and guiding visitors. 
• Directions outside: guide motorists towards parking and pedestrians towards the entrance to the event site.
